I first noticed this large and handsome ebony feline as it sat at the front of its home -- a sort of real life stone lion. Unfortunately, by the time I got my camera out to get a shot of that very image, I was discovered and suddenly very interesting in the eyes of this little monster as he ran down his long walk to say hello.
It had just finished raining, but the damp pavement didn't discourage the rolling around and belly offering at all. This was a rare shot of a still cat!
Before I leave, I always make sure they've lost interest in me. Back to more sitting and guarding, I'm sure.
